A five-year survey has been undertaken of patients with gall bladder disease, and their relation to associated heart disease investigated. Particular attention has been paid to ischaemic heart disease, and the anaesthetic risks involved in these patients discussed. An illustrative case history has been reviewed. From this survey, conclusions have been drawn, and recommendations made.
