Paragraph 1
The second sentence should read:
Blood samples were taken before and one hour after 12 mg morphine hydrochloride per square metre body surface intramuscularly, using all glass syringes or special syringes made from Piacryl P®.
Paragraph 4
The first sentence should read:
Haemoglobin concentration was measured as cyan-haemoglobin using Acuglobin plus Aculute (Ortho Pharmaceutical Corp., Raritan, New Jersey) as a standard.
The last sentence should read:
The significance of the results were determined by the t-test and/or the sign test.
Last paragraph
The third sentence should read:
These PaCOCO2 values are 1 to 2 mm Hg lower than the "alveolar" end-expiratory CO2 tensions measured by Eckenhoff et al after morphine sulphate.
