The Application of a Positive End-Expiratory Pressure Plateau to the Bird Ventilator

The Bird ventilator normally fails to cycle if an attempt is made to add a positive end-expiratory pressure plateau. Asimple means to adapt the ventilator is described. The method is simple and utilizes readily available spare parts.
