Malignant Hyperthermia: A Case Report of Successful Management

A case of succinyldicholine-induced malignant hyperthermia has been presented to illustrate some of the problems usually encountered in the succuessful management of this syndrome.

Possible screening tests to detect patients who might be affected, principles of ;nt and the correlation of laborator findings with body temperature during malignant hyperthermia have been presented.

Emphasis is placed on the need for early diagnosis and prompt management of malignant hyperthermia to decrease the mortality of these Patients.
