Clinical Evaluation of Isoflurane: Complications during and after Anaesthesia

Approximately 90 per cent of the patients had no complications. Most of the 1,735 complications were minor and presented no significant problem to the patient.

It is suggested that isoflurane appears to be a safe anaesthetic agent in a wide variety of clinical settings. However, as with any drug, its ultimate safety will be determined only after extensive use.
