Twenty Years of Anaesthesia in Thoracic Surgery

The authors have been, in succession, directors of the Department of Anaesthesiology of the Sacred-Heart Hospital of Montreal for the past twenty years. They have combined in this paper to outline the evolution of anaesthesia over this period in the thoracic surgery unit of this hospital.
