Anaesthetic Aspect of Thymectomy for Myasthenia Gravis

The authors have presented from their experience some of the difficulties encountered in the anaesthetic management of myasthenic patients for thymectomy. The hypotheses concerning the nature of the disorder and the physiopathology have been outlined briefly to provide a better understanding of the problem. Methods of treatment and anaesthetic management of these patients have been outlined, and complications discussed.
