Double the sleep dose of buthalitone sodium was administered to six young healthy male volunteers and a single sleep dose to one volunteer. Liver and kidney functions of these individuals were tested both before and after the administration of the agent.

No deleterious effects on these two vital parenchymatous functions were demonstrated in any of our tests.
