Levomepromazine, RP. 7044, was evaluated in a series of 150 patients undergoing anaesthesia and the pharmacological actions were examined as they appeared to the anaesthetist in the operating room. Levomepromazine was found to be a very useful drug both during anaesthesia and postoperatively, because it decreased significantly the amount of both the anaesthetic and the post-operative analgesic drug needed.
