Seventeen patients were given repeated injections of decamethonium up to a maximum of 10 mg. Fifteen patients showed E.C.G. changes or a significant bradycardia after either the second or the third injection. Sixteen patients were given succinylcholine following the decamethonium, five of whom developed a significant bradycardia. The similarity in chemical structure of these two muscle relaxants to acetylcholine is mentioned.
