Variability in the clinical asessment of the level of hypnosis between the two independent observers using the clinical signs of inhalational anesthesia (CSA). Eighteen pediatric patients were tested. Points in the graphs represent the relationship of the total CSA scores calculated from observers A (horizontal axis) and B (vertical axis). The subscript beside each point represents the number of assessments for that particular association. The inter-observer correlation was higher during emergence (r = 0.93; P < 0.001) than induction (r = 0.83; P < 0.001).
