Research Interests:  For many years, Dr Donati has conducted research on the clinical pharmacology of neuromuscular blocking drugs and their antagonists.  He also has investigated fundamental aspects of neuromuscular blockade, monitoring of neuromuscular function, and pharmacokinetics.  More generally, Dr Donati is interested in anesthetic pharmacology.

Competing Interests:  Since 2000, Dr Donati has been a consultant for Organon Canda Ltd. and Avera Ltd.  Part of his research program has been funded by Organon Canada Ltd.  Dr Donati is also a member of the editorial board of Anesthesia & Analgesia.
