Dr. Preston’s academic and clinical interests include optimal labor analgesia, complications of regional anesthesia, and placental invasive diseases.  Specific areas of clinical interest include the airway/obstetrical airway, the anesthesia simulator, and patient safety in anesthesia.

Competing Interests:  Dr Preston has received peer-reviewed research funding from the Research Grants, Fellowship and Career Scientist Award Program of the Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society.  She has received speaker’s honoraria from Organon Canada Ltd. for participation in the “Making a Mark” program.  She holds no equity position in any pharmaceutical company, or any medical manufacturing company.
