  1. The person using CJA Online may view, reproduce or store one copy of the articles comprising the journal provided that the articles are used only for their personal, non-commercial use. Terms of Use

CJA Online, the Web-based electronic edition of the Canadian Journal of Anesthesia is available free to paid subscribers of the paper edition of the journal. The subscription fee allows for unrestricted Internet access at one localized site only.

Individual subscribers are issued a username and password for access to Full Text and PDF versions of the online articles. Passwords are licensed to subscribing individuals only and may not be shared.

Institutional subscribers are authorized use from a list of internet IP addresses that correspond to computers from an institutional network at one location. Any user connecting from an authorized computer will be allowed access to CJA Online.

CJA Online is also available as a separate "Online Only Edition" subscription for Individuals, Single-User Institutions and Multi-User Institutions.

As Multi-User Institutional subscribers, authorized users are granted access to the Licensed Materials through an IP range outside of their Institutional network. Only authorized computers will be permitted access to CJA Online.

The Canadian Anesthesiologists' Society may terminate your password, account, or access to the CJA Online if the CAS believes that you have violated the confidentiality of the password and contributed to the unauthorized use of your password, username, or account.

Your Account and Password

  1. In the event that you have been issued a password and username, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password and for restricting access to its use. You agree to:

    (a) notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your password, username, or account or any other breach of security, and
    (b) exit from your account at the end of each session.

  2. Personal accounts and/or passwords may not be shared.

    Disclaimer of Warranties

    In no event shall Canadian Anesthesiologists' Society, or Stanford University be liable for any special, incidental, indirect or consequential damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the use of the articles or other material derived from the journals, whether or not advised of the possibility of damage, and on any theory of liability.

    This publication is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Descriptions of, or references to, products or publications does not imply endorsement of that product or publication.
